by the way have you found out anything about the anomaly?

So far what I've found out is it can mask or project its energy signal. The fact it's doing that inclines me to believe it has some level of intelligence, or at least a clever drive to survive. Less of a meteorite that fell somewhere and caused things to go weird, more of a Something Fell Here and a side effect of it existing is causing people's mental limits to shift.

I have a feeling its hiding itself too, but that doesn't mean much because "hiding" can mean anything when we don't know what the anomaly actually is. Also, there's a non-zero chance it's mobile, given how widespread these morality shifts appeared to be before we got here. Still focused in California of the United States, which is a bit interesting, but not necessarily relevant. Sometimes things just fall where they fall.

i can try and read for energy signatures but i haven't noticed anything yet. i tried looking on the internet and there wasn't anything that stuck out about when this started... but trying to find information is hard. because nobody knew it was happening

Great idea with combing online! I haven't touched this world's social media to see if there's anything trending there yet, maybe to see if the fans of the heroes and villains around here might have noticed things we haven't. Is there a MeTube?

Yeah, sadly. Massive wormhole that anchored in the sky at a fixed orbit locked with Earth. We get weird things coming through, though usually just beings made of light and energy called Wanderers. Sure caused some anomalies, but not the same as what they're experiencing here.

do you have a way to deal with things made of light? if it's bad. i talked to people about making bullets of light to use on creatures of dark, but they sound confused about them

I do, yes, depending what you mean. Technically light is a form of energy, and I could in theory Resonate with it myself, slow it down by suppressing some of what it does... or punching it. With the right tech I could use resonance to increase the effectiveness of something like bullets. Back home we used cores from the creatures we fought to build weapons more effective for fighting against them, and they were light-based constructs that formed physical selves and launched all sorts of elemental attacks.

We call them Protocores because they stay solid, but they can be crushed or broken or lose all energy themselves and then basically aren't useful. Probably I'm the only current person around who could charge them from being a dead core, it's just... not usually the problem. Been more of a problem to have people using them in medicine. They corrupt most everything they fuse with.

Resonance is all me. I was born with that ability. Any form of energy manipulation, I can resonate with to make stronger... and most everything is about energy on some level. Doesn't work at a distance unless I know you well, and you can't force my resonance. If I'm scared of a person or dislike them, it just won't work.

I... could, yes, but I'd need someone else to navigate me through things. I can keep that focus, but I can't help with whatever distractions crop up along the way.

I usually listen to music too when I have them on, and they're great when I'm training or running. But you know what? I think even without the music, you're right. They'd definitely work for helping keep focus. Isn't that strange? I wonder why.

it's no problem. my friends can be loud and sometimes i just need to relax so i use my headphones. and sometimes i need silence when i'm working. even though i like a lot of loud music when i train and fight and also when i work

We had this music system in our simulation fighting room that was fun to build playlists for, really could get you in the mood when you were sparring. I need to figure out music again for my runs, it's been a little quiet without it!

You know, that could be a great plan! Can I be the biggest villain and get copies of all the music we can find that aren't legal? Breaking every law here. (I'd feel worse if we could pay across realities, but I don't think licensing laws can even make that happen.)
